This image taken of the northern lights lighting up the sky on the northern horizon, is a nice clear capture. Did it ever get more colorful than this? I love the stars showing up in your image so clearly.
Great shot. One of my all time dreams is to see the aurora borealis some day.

Thank you, Jewell. Actually, it was more colorful a couple of hours before I took this based on the photos I saw on our local FB page. I didn't go out then because I thought there was too much of a cloud cover.

I do enjoy this scene, to the point that you deserve a "6". I really like this. You did a superb job capturing it and further working with it in Photoshop. Those stars, the yellows and light, the pinkish and swirls; it is simply beautiful.

Wow, wonderful photograph of this natural wonder in Montana. We had some views of this in Idaho, I thought that they are only in Alaska.

Thank you. We are at the top of the solar cycle so there are better opportunities for the northern lights to be seen further south.

Great capture of the Northern lights in Montana. We've actually seen some recently over the UK - spectacular. I like the contrast between the dark foreground and the horizon showing the varied colours in the sky. Very good camera techniques. Lovely composition. Suzanne
