MY Goodness! I've seen Green Herons but never noticed the green outline on their wings. What a cool shot! Love the beautiful detail in this. Both the lighting and focus really show the heron off. Very Nicely Done! :o) Helvi

I have never seen a green heron, but this one is a beauty! His wing feathers almost look like green and gold painted on porcelain. You have caught so much detail from his beak to his feet. The background of open water and lily pads really do a great job of making him stand out. Very nice.

Thank you, they are beautiful birds, they have a nice iridescence to their wing feathers.

I really like how you captured this image. The bird is very pretty and the lily pads make it a storybook scene. This must have been very hard to photograph, and my favorite part is the bird being on the branch.

Better had it got a fish but apart from that this is a good detailed shot of this heron and with strong detail in this one,good clear shot of its eye as well which i think is important,good one...Brian
