A beautiful sunset post. The sunset coupled with the stormy sky is very foreboding. The dark clouds and the orange sky are a good contrast. a very interesting submission.

Ominous and glorious all at the same time Pat.
This take has excellent color reproduction, camera angle, contrast and detail.
Sunsets are all about color and this one raises that bar.
The layering of the cloud formations makes this shot so very dramatic. Liken to a dark heavy hand coming to snuff out the light - or not... Bob

It does look cold in this one Pat and a bit bleak although the sky is awesome and threatening as well,you just sometimes wonder how good and awesome nature can be,well good photo...Brian

Well the sun sets up north and doesn?t come up again until late January, but I am in Anchorage and right now sunrise is at 9:45 am and sunset will be at 3:52, we will continue to loose daylight time until the 21 st of this month and then it will slowly start to increase each day .in summer we have almost constant daylight

OMG! This is mesmerising, is all I can say!! As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky exploded into a mind-blowing kaleidoscope of technicolour sunsets. Wish I had 10 to give. 6 is all I got! Cheers!
