What an outstanding capture of this beautiful Jay this is! The background is complementary. The blue colors on the body and tail feathers, as well as the tint on the legs and feet are so nice. Looks like a beautiful painting as well.

Just like their distant cousin Pat. My Jays were eating so well I thought they might be too fat to fly.

This is a beautiful bird and you have captured it well. I love the pose. The eye and beak are sharp and well seen.

Black on black whether it be Bear fur or in this case the neck feathers, unless the light is just right you lose that fine line detail.

Excellent DOF all the way to the feet.

Pat, An excellent capture of this Steller's Jay with head turned and focused on peanuts. The blue colour is stunning and the details of his wings, breast and eye are wonderfully clear. The neutral background allows this Steller's Jay to 'pop'!

Pat,
A very beautiful picture of the Stella Kay showing off it's beautiful iridescent plumage as it keeps an eye on you, as it stands out clearly from the blurred grey background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
