I totally understand where you're coming from! Humming birds are both fascinating birds to watch and beautiful as well. I can see this image as a beautiful piece of stained glass work. Love the shape of it. I think the presentation is lovely and has nice detail. Good luck in the contest! :o) Helvi

This reminds me of stained glass. The details are magical and the bird is of good proportion. The lilies could use a little more life. I can see where you started to rush it to get it done. I do that too. I like this piece. It is very pretty.

Love the name! It's very clever. They are the only birds that can fly backwards! Incredible job on the detailing and use of colors. Love the different design techniques throughout. Well done.

I really like the illustrative style of this talented work. Lots of lovely detail included in a cohesive pattern. The feathers and wings are particularly well drawn and I think that the muted tones give it a modern edge.

This is beautiful! I love the way you have placed the hummingbird on the stem and the way you have posed it with its wings up as if it just landed.
It's a lovely floral design abd I like the bold colors you chose and applied here.
