I think this is an intriguing painting with a wolf howling under the moon, or should I say moons ? I actually think you could have left out the moon in the upper left corner, but I fully appreciate that it was put there for a special reason.

I especially like the silhouetted foreground and landscape, and how well it is standing out from the mysterious sky. I also like very much the limited color pallet.

The format and framing is perfect, and with the wolf set off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well done oil painting Maureen.

I did oil many years back and with me being a instant gratification girl I couldn't stand the wait times between layers LOL. I like how you did this. The moon, the mountain and everything works so well together. Thanks for sharing.
