Being a dog lover , I can tell you that this is a wonderful gift for your son, Booker is a beautiful boy , he appears to be an Australian Cattle dog, I love the way you posed him and the alert expression on his face ! You are so talented ! Very impressive to view , accurate shape, structure and size, beautiful work here ! You bring Booker to life with your creation of his eyes! Awesome show of the texture of his coat! His collar shows that he is lived and cared for !

I think deep down that this portrait of his dog will probably mean the world to him because it came from a mother who would give him the world if she could. Money only last for a little bit but he will always have this and remember where it came from, from a talented artist who does great work and loves her son and did the best that she could. Money can buy the world but real love can not be bought. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest. JackJr.

Aww what a beautiful gift to gift your son. Personal gifts are always the best. Your story is heart-breaking as I have followed you for awhile and have some understanding of your tragedies. You could not have given your son anything that means as much as this outstanding drawing. Not anything as valuable in price either were you to have sold this. The background is so nicely done. The dog, Booker, is drawn with great skill and is so realistic. May your heart's burden be lifted and you both be able to visit. God bless and keep you always.
