I like this photograph of the ocean. For me the windmills are in the background, but the shot of the ocean wave breaking on shore is more significant.

Yes I see your point. As the turbines are the manmade pointer they should have been more prominent. But AI did appreciate your comments about th wave.

I do like the portrait, vertical format of this image. It makes it seem more contemporary to me than the usual horizontal often chosen for landscapes. The inclusion of the rocks and breaking waves in the foreground, along with those cloud formations gives good perspective. This is a very good interpretation of the contest concept- I agree with you, it is a mystery to me how they fit those huge wind turbines out there in the sea! Some might say they are a blot on the landscape, others that it is huge progress towards sustainable energy. I think both. An interesting photograph with good composition and clarity - and, importantly, a straight horizon.

Thank you for your in-depth review it is much appreciated. I took in what you said and agree along your lines I have to say though with regards to the horizon I know this site and the reviewers and they hate wonky horizons and sometimes I like to do something unusual and I deliberately take a horizontal one and going coner to corner ....it's just my way sometimes but this time I realize the turbines was so small I had to make them look positive so hence the straight horizon.

The image shows the impact of the turbines in the distance quite well and I like the way you have kept the foreground with rock and waves adding depth to the image. Colors are very natural.

Straight forward view of these turbines but using the part of the shoreline [even though its small in this] gives it depth and extra interest plus do like the vertical format...Brian
