I haven't felt numbing cold like that in a very long time Pat. It is safe to say that I will postpone that reunion a little longer. Brrrrrr!

Love the light reflection from the frost on the hardwoods.

The clear crisp dry air sure brings up the fine line detail of the near foreground and continues all the way back to the clouds.

Excellent framing and cropping.

Dramatic... Bob

Thank you so much Bob, it?s been brutally cold here, sub zero temps for the month of January, it?s warming up tonight and should be about 9 above zero tomorrow!

Wow! What a beautiful part of the world you live in, despite the freezing cold! This is an amazing photo with such beautiful colours. This would make a gorgeous Christmas card or painting. I love all the detail in the mountains! So well done!

This is a great winter landscape scene. The mountain against a blue sky with trees in the foreground is quite dramatic. I'm surprised you are out and about in such cold temperatures. A lovely scene.

What a blue, winter sky, beautiful snow-topped mountain peaks, the blues upon the mountains in between, as well as the snow and iced topped trees below! Wow, it is cold there, my friend, but you still capture beautiful scenes.

Wow! What a beautiful scene! Alaska is a beautiful state and you have done well showing just that. I will maybe get a chance to see some of it someday. I really don't want to see it in the winter. I don't have warm enough clothes.
This picture is very well done. If it were mine I think a big canvas print would be in order!

Pat,
That's a finger chilling picture I can't imagine how cold -14 F (or -25C) feels like the lowest I've seen in Ireland is -10C or -4 F. The blue sky makes a beautiful backdrop for the Chugach mountain & the trees at it's base. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Frost on leaves: nature's way of turning ordinary scenes into winter wonders. Snow everywhere. A silent story of winter's fleeting beauty. Lovely capture.
