This is actually a classical work. It is done very well with the mostly two colors of Sepia and charcoal. It is different, very nice. The only thing that takes away a tad is the over-sized hip, not quite the proportion with the rest of the individual, but I won't deduct .5.

Thanks for your review. I would actually be happy to have a hip that size, not all women are lucky enough to be in perfect proportion. The model we had in our drawing class was very curvy and beautiful.

Well, you did fine. As indicated it is a classical drawing, artist friend Lisa.

A very interesting and unique visual presented here. I like your limited color palette and the depth of this piece. Very well done and presented. Thank you for sharing.

This is a really interesting image that, when viewed alongside your notes, definitely tells a story. It's an original presentation with the very limited colour palette but it does work well. Your drawing of the female form is very good indeed. It's quite timely for me - my husband passed away in December last year and I've been feeling shipwrecked. I need to take my rest on the shore.

I'm so glad you were moved by my image and so very sorry to hear of your loss. 2023 was a difficult year for many of us. Sending prayers and hugs for you and your family.

It is said that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. You have given a new meaning to beauty. And life itself. Yes.It should be our effort to get up after falling and make life beautiful. Many thoughts come to my mind when viewing this artwork. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

A good looking tragic scene posted here! Your fine and full composition gives us a good view of that tragic scene. Hope the authorities cleared her away appropriately. Nicely done!

Haha, yes tragedy has struck the ship but the girl is not lost. She sleeps peacefully after her harrowing swim.

Lisa Your charcoal drawing in its sepia coloring is amazing. You did a fine job of capturing the sense fatality. Your figure drawing came out great. Your details are just right. I like your explanation except the last for the sentence. It seems as if you are implying that there is life after death, I don't even believe in the concept of the existence of a god, something contrived by man. But I love your charcoal/sepia sketch. It stands on its and tells it's own story. Ray

Hi Ray, thanks for your kind review. My words were not about God at all. They were about the struggle in life that we all face at one time or another and must put the past behind us and start over with new eyes and new faith that the future will be better. When we reach the shore of a new beginning, we start fresh with hope.

Lisa, Boy did I get it wrong thank you for straightening that out. I handle things differently, I let the art and its title tell its story and rarely use the detail section. I feel art is nonverbal communication. Ray

No worries Ray, all art is subjective even when it's plainly depicted. It is up to the beholder to determine what it means to them. Any art that evokes a conversation, is successful.

For me, I want to give them something to talk about. Ray

This is a very emotive piece of art work. Along with your well written message notes. I think this could have done very well just as a sketch without all the additional computer work. However, having said that, the result is very impressive. As is your actions to create such a piece, it is a very impressive result, I like the colour palette. I like the balance of the lady lying on the beach looking exhausted after her ordeal, and I think every
bit of artwork is always more interesting when you can see a story which this has.
