Hi LeeAnne, I almost want to beat myself up for not having six stars for this! Absolutely love the lighting on this deer! Your focus is phenomenal! I can clearly see the little whiskers beneath the chin! Awesome shot My Friend! Big Congratulations on your win! :o) Nancy

HAhaha! I had to go and check my messages to see what you were talking about; last time I looked it had only one vote (mine) and I was trying to figure out why no one else had voted for it! Thanks so much for the great review, Nancy, made me feel a lot better!

Wow ! This is such a beautiful example of low key, the yearling buck is just gorgeous and I love the way he comes from the darkness into the light.
Very well captured with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and you have brought out such lovely detail over every visible part.
Colors and tones appear natural.
This has a sense of silence as I view although I can see the ears positioned so they don't miss the slightest sound.
Very well composed and presented!
Perfect entry for this contest!
Very best wishes to you !

This is without a doubt in my mind the best demonstration of how to portray heavy shadow against subtle lighting - Excellent.

Your camera technique is refined and honed to perfection in this shot - every detail of the Young Prince is seen in high relief - Bravo.

I can go on for a few more paragraphs, but I think you got the message - I really like this shot. I for sure would hang this on my wall.

Good luck in the contest. I think you got a winner with this one, it's awesome... Bob

Excellent image of the stag in the low key lighting. The black background sets off the colors of the stag nicely and your composition is good. Focus is sharp.

This is a stunning shot. Technically, I think it is flawless: the figure is beautifully proportioned, the composition is carefully and intelligently thought out, and the light and shadow effects are exquisite. Bravo! Good luck in the contest!

This is a great entry for a contest like this, and the young animal looks so beautiful the way it is coming out from the darkness. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on it, and how well it is standing out.

The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details, and the exposure is spot on.

The tall format is perfect, and the animal has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
