It looks as if the sign is saying. "He went that a way! "
Very interesting that it was so low. It could be that over the years the sand has just built up that way around it! Makes a very interesting picture though with all kinds of story making capabilities. It fits well into a BW theme too! Great Focus and lighting add to the wonder of the shot! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi

I like this shot very much, simple, fine focus and detailed. The pebbles on the beach are scattered through the sand. An alternative title would, in my eyes, would be That a Way. very nicely presented simple and to the "point". The best of luck in the contest. Ray

I really like the simplicity of this photo, and that it is presented in black and white. To me this photo is all about textures, and you have brought the out so well both from the old wood and the sand on the beach.

The wood is standing out sharp and well defined from the background, and it is clear details to be seen in every part of the photo. The exposure is perfect, and it is good distinctions between light and dark.

The photo is also nicely cropped and the wooden post is well placed within the frame. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
