Yes this certainly is unusual and quite interesting to see and take photos of,straight forward shot but it works for this one and the contrasting sky also helps make this good...Brian

A beautiful picture of the time worn mountain it's layers of strata exposed after millions of years by the action of wind, friction by sand & gravel, rain & frost. The highflying clouds in the blue sky add to the drama of the picture. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A very beautiful visual presented here this amazing mountain. The rock formation is incredible with the mixture of different colors. Composition shades tones are very well done. I love the angle that you used that highlights it. Thank you for sharing.

A very nice photograph of this hill in the painted desert. Beautiful colors shown here; some of which I believe show water levels through the ages. Lovely blue sky with wispy clouds, makes for a wonderful scene all in all.

What a splendid find. I love the clarity of textures and prominent natural colors. Exposure is just right and you've framed this well, too, in the landscape orientation. Great remembrance from your Route 66 Tour. Well captured.
