This is a great photograph of the natural way of life in Tanzania, a basic way of transport in a dugout log(boat). You have caught her facial expression of determination well. Good luck in the contest.

She is a beautiful lady and the first thing I thought of was that she is a hard working , very determined lady.
You have captured her so well with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect. I love the green water and her green top and head wrap with the flowers.
Well composed to tell this story.
Well presented!

Thank you SO much for your wonderful review and six stars Pat!
From what I?ve seen, I think most women in Africa are very hard working, they never seem to stop from dawn till dusk - while the men, from what I?ve witnessed, sit around in the shade discuss putting the world to rights! lol

I love candid shots and this is a good example of one whether a vertical might have been better[don,t know] but i do like you got that sense of concentration on her face, good one...Brian

Thanks Brian. I think if I?d taken a vertical shot it would have shown the water below the dugout, which might have been interesting, but I think I prefer more of the length of the boat showing - it?s all down to taste I suppose.

You have captured the beauty and grace of the lady wonderfully well. The interplay of light and shadows, the vivid colours, and the composition have all come together beautifully. Good luck!
