Love this! The outline is my favorite, you can see it but it doesn't overtake the overall image. The colors really work well together and the simplicity of the scene really makes it stand out. Thanks for sharing.

Your attention to detail with regard to the composition, whereas, you have adorned each flower type with specification to form, color and uniqueness is skillfully accomplished. I find the white outline to add interest and wonder, "How did Ray do that" (i.e., a thin paintbrush with white paint, a white marker)?
Set against the dark background, whereas I can identify what appears to be the bottom of wood picture frame atop a wood table, the image practically presents with a 3D quality that stands in a very dynamic way with nice contrast.

This is beautiful! I love the way you have arranged the three different types of flowers with the coneflowers standing tall , the marigolds with their shorter stems reaching out of the glass vase on the left and the nasturtiums on the right . Each flower is well created with such accurate shape and structure and well chosen and applied colors.
Nice show of the way the light touches the flowers . I love the way they all stand out from the black background , it appears that they are placed in front of a window.

Hi Pat, so that you know, I picked these flowers from my garden and arranged them in a short glass vase. The bees were not happy but I was. James, Thank you for your fine review. I use gel pens and They work for almost all mediums as long as they don't clog up the tip. You have to fix it asap so it don't smudge. I use it for high lights and definition, I find it works well. I am glad you like it. Ray
