Wow! This looks scary! The play of light and shadow on the insect adds depth and dimension to the artwork.
The choice of a shallow depth of field in this photo creates a dreamy, ethereal quality . Well done! Good luck!

Oh this pastel art makes me shudder as I am not a fan of spiders, but you have done such an excellent job of creating the creepy factor! Your use of light and dark really show off the spider nicely and I love the web and your point of view. It makes the spider seem huge instead of its bitsy! Very nicely done. Good luck in the contest. It should do well.

This is a very skillfully achieved pastel that has been thoughtfully composed among trees that act as a vignette to frame the Itsy-Bitsy spider.
The artist has provided nice detail in subject as well as its surroundings, including that web.
The use of both light (highlights') and dark (shadows) have successfully been used to showcase the subject brilliantly.
Nice, nice, nice. Good luck in the contest.

This is an exquisite drawing. I like the way the spider stands out, but if you made the spider look smoother it would insist multiple details that would really bring out the picture. All in all it was an amazing picture.

You certainly made this spider CReEpY! Love the long legs and how is coming down from its web. I think the the angle of the spider and the long legs really give it a foreboding look! I also like the the look of the spider coming into the darkness! Nicely Done! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of a tiny insect making its way through a dense forest. Colours, textures and tones are good. Nicely done and good luck!

Wow factor at first glance. I love how you have painted this deadly spider because the tiny details are pretty vivid like the hairy legs and the web. The hazy scene was also well-painted that it looks so real. This simply looks like a macro version of a photo. Excellent painting skills and this is well conceptualized, too. A stellar entry. Wish you the best. SIX!

A wonderful image of a black widow spider. Very clear and detailed. The web in the background and the lighting shows the spider's detail well, including the hairy legs!
