Breath taking capture. the angle of the shot of the reflective water, mountainous sky line and awesome looking sky view is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

You know that you have altered my opinion on sunsets. Until now I always felt that sunsets over water were ideal as you could capture the reflection in the water.
Now however, I feel sunsets over a mountain range is the most dramatic.
I love how the complementary colors of blue and orange work so well together. Well done even it was just afternoon! : ))

Pat, this is a beautiful photograph of a sunset in Alask. It almost looks like a painting, as the colors of the sky melt into the mountains, the water and the foreground. Lovely clouds over the scene, the mountains in the background are sharp and imposing. Very nice!

Wow! What a beautiful and dramatic scene. The foreground darkness of the rocks contrast so well with the water and sky.The reflections in the water lead the eye to the distant snow covered mountains.
Ann that sky! It looks like it is on fire. The bu ing sky would seem to melt the snow and the mountains themselves. The lea love the fiery sky adds a nice framing element. Great capture Pat ~ Steve

The beautiful golden peach tones are very well represented here and you provided an outstanding DOF. I like the gradient from gray to pink to orange, and the beautiful reflection of the snowcapped mountains on the water. Lovely work, and a pleasure to view!

I don't mean to be repetitive, but I feel the need to say it again; you take the most spectacular landscape shots! One can only feel humbled when admiring this grandiose view of the majestic mountain range, still - reflective waters and of course the splendor of mother nature's paint brush in the sky. The depth of the clouds creates a feeling of movement that the viewer can visually feel. The exposure of this image is nicely balanced and produces a wide range of lights and shadows without any loss in detail to either the bright sections of the clouds or the dark shadows in the foreground rocks. Effectively framed to produce a magnificent view of the beauty around us.
