I missed this one. Good capture. The angle of the shot of these green pine cones is great. The capture of the light is great. The clarity is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and congratulations on 2nd place.

I really like this photo Allan, so now I am sorry I don't have 6 stars to give you. I don't I have even seen cones with this lovely green color, and they are standing out so well from the dark pines in the background.

Your focus was spot on and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the cones and the pines. The exposure is just perfect.

The format is very good, and with the three cones off to the left, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF. I think this is a great entry into this contest Allan, and I wish you luck.

Thanks Annie, this shot was cropped form a larger overall image. I did struggle with balance with so many cones and stems in a small area. Glad you liked the balance
