Hi Jewell, You definitely found a good one when it comes to this coneflower! LOL I think that's the biggest cone I've ever seen on one. Well, this certainly deserves a 6, but unfortunately I'm all out of them. This is a stunning portrait whose initial impact is spectacular. It has very strong imagery, perfect focal point placement, good depth of field, good lighting and is sharply focused.

I definitely would have had to get out and photograph the prairie coneflower too,
I have never seen this flower before, I love coneflowers and find this to be just fascinating !
The earthy colored petals fold down and away from the cone center, the cone really stands tall on this flower.
Well -placed within the frame, your shallow depth of field works to emphasize this flower.
Well focused, this image is clear and your exposure is correct. The colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!
This is an awesome entry for this contest.
