Initial impact is wow, what a piece and a hood ornament to boot! Very dynamic and majestic composition although I think that you have focused on the hood ornament and not necessarily the car which is the criteria of the contest. The image is sharply focused and stands out significantly againsignificantly against the contrasting black background.
By shooting it close up, you have given the viewer lots of wonderful details and polished lustre of the ornament. Best of luck in the contest.

I remember the cars back in the day and they way the hoods were adorned with these fancy hood ornaments , again this is so interesting to see , the cars today are so plain compared to the vintage models.
Well captured , this eagle hood ornament is beautiful and stands out so well from the black background .
