Nice capture. Love how the castle is centered in the shot. Love all the green fields and trees around it, making the castle stand out. Good l;uck on the contest.

No need to know names when it comes to castles. It is a beautiful photograph and even seems to have occupied quarters. Great placement within the frame and overall pleasing presentation.

The scene here is simply marvelous. The green grassy fields, the trees, the sun hitting half the field as it comes from behind a cloud. The beautiful castle in the middle of everything. Marvelous job, I would give you six stars but unfortunately I am out right now. Just know this is six star worthy!

Thank you for taking the time to review my entry into the Seeing Green contest. What could I have done to improve the 3* you gave me?
reply by Cynthia Zirkle on 20-May-2025
Me personally, would have pulled the castle closer to me. But I do understand the beauty of this photo. You are a terrific artist.

I totally agree with you, though I was trying to include as much greenery as possible since it is a "green" contest entry. Thank you for your input, much appreciated. Aimee

Thank you so much Cynthia. Are you a new member to this site?
reply by Cynthia Zirkle on 20-May-2025
Yes I am. My husband encouraged me to try this out. He has more confidence in me than I do. Lol why not give it a try, what could go wrong, right? What about you?

I joined back in 2013, boy has time flown by! Not sure if you know this already, when you review a submission, make sure you scroll to the top of the page, all the way above the photo, to see if it is entered into a contest and the artists/photographers notes before you start your review, so that you know why the photo is what it is. Contest criteria is extremely important. There are really nice, talented people on this site. I'm sure you'll have fun.

Nice shot. I've never cruised the Rhine ... but it's on my list of things to do. The only suggestion I can make is to crop out the sky which will give the image more impact and the sky really does nothing for the picture. Otherwise an excellent shot. Now I'm off to Google Rhine cruises.

A magical scene. I love the scene per se and how you have shown its beautiful home filled with layers of greeneries. This shot looks like an aerial shot already. Thanks for sharing your Europe tour.

Wow! The composition is absolutely perfect! The balance between foreground, midground, and background draws the viewer in effortlessly. This is a masterclass in framing and perspective! Keep it up! Regretfully, I have run out of sixes.

A lovely shot of this church in the middle of the so green countryside in Germany. The church has a typical fairy tale appearance; I'm surprised it didn't have a cemetery attached. We did a river cruise down the Danube, so I have a couple of photos similar to this one.

Thank you for taking the time to review. I thought it was a castle and surrounding it are the wine vineyards.

HI Aimee, You not only captured a green shot, you captured a castle in the middle of it! LOL How cool is that! Look like a lot of agriculture is going on there. I wonder if what we're seeing are grapes and they make wine here. Very cool and interesting to view. I don't know if you visited there but I bet it would be fun! Love that you put the castle in the center. We get to enjoy it and the fields around it! Nice Job! Good Luck in the Contest!

Nancy, thank you so much for the wonderful review. Yes, I actually did visit there last fall. We did a Viking river cruise in Europe and yes, this was in wine country. Good eye.

I had the feeling it was wine country! Glad you had a chance to tour the place. I bet it was fun! :o)
