How pretty! I don't know if this is something you dreamed up or if it was something you had that you wanted to paint. Where ever the idea came from it's beautiful! It's elegant and very classy. Love the satin or velvet around the base. A true joy to view! Just had to give you a six for this lovely gem! :o) Nancy

I just wanted to create a 3-D image of a statue. I’m so glad that you like it. Roses are my favourite to draw and of course I love butterflies.

This is a lovely pastel painting; the rose is very detailed and in keeping with the red heart, and the red material base. The blue butterfly adds a nice contrast to the reds, and the dark background certainly makes the whole image stand out so well.

Wow. The colors are so rich and vibrant for pastels, it is just stunning. I like the way you were able to portray the light and the shadows, giving the artwork depth and realistic qualities. I like your addition of the Blue Morpho butterfly. It adds interest to what would have been another portrait of a red rose. It also gives contrast to all the red color around it and breaks the continuity just a bit.
