Wonderful capture. Nice color offset between the bird and the snow. Love how the little bird stands out against the snow. Wonder if his feet were cold and he's trying to find a warm place. He must have been taken aback by the change in the surroundings overnight. But it does look like he has it in hand.

Bob I really enjoyed reading your notes on this. However, who are the two enjoying it. I only see one bird. It is a heart warming and interesting site behold. But then of course, I am an avid birder, so I would be very drawn to this. Blue Jays can be quite dramatic and animated. I'm sure I would have enjoyed watching him in the snow as well. It is a really lovely shot with great exposure, wonderful color and aptly framed.

Sometimes I think I couldn't pour water from a boot, even with the instructions written on the heel. 'New Snow Blues', was what this take was supposed to be called. Funny thing is I never picked up on the error until you mentioned it in your review - thanks for the heads-up, top-notch review and appropriate rating... Bob

I'm always inquisitive if nothing else, so I had to ask who the two were. LOL

I'm definitely not ready for what he's jumping into. What a wonderful scene depicting this beautiful Bluejay. Composition shades colours and presentation is very well done. Thank you for sharing.

Interesting capture. The angle of the shot of this blue Jay in the snow is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

You've captured a wonderful moment in nature! The framing is well-thought-out, and the use of light and shadows adds both depth and character. The colours are vibrant, and the composition ties everything together seamlessly. Well done!

Hi Bob,
A sweet photo of this bluejay and lovely to see him experiencing snow for the first time - he looks like he's feeling the cold in his feet!
No quite up to your normal excellent photography - placement in frame, focus...etc. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you :) But lovely to see.
Charlotte

A good looking nature image posted here, together with interesting notes. Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of that handsome bird and its cold location. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

A funny scene, Bob. I like the scene of the young blue jay in a snowy foreground. The colors are accurate as well as the textures of the fresh snow. Great timing capturing this landing. A pleasant scene.

A lovely photograph of the Blue Jay getting to familiarize himself with the snow. He looks like he is skipping of the ground... perhaps too cold? The white snow is perfect background to show off the Blue Jay's colors.
