Charlotte,
A beautiful picture of this small Elefant Starting to grow tusks as it moves through the long grass the sunlight highlighting it's back. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Thank you a million times again Susan! Isn't he a sweetie? It took me ages to finally get a shot of him on his own, he was mostly tucked in behind mum's legs!

Another good elephant shot and being a young one makes for an interesting one, looks a bit fed up in this, but maybe thats a normal expression for a young one....Brian

Thanks again Brian. Yes he does look a bit fed up, but I think it's their usual expression - I mean who'd be fed up living in Africa! Lol

6. I wish I had more of those to give out. I love how you have cropped this, giving the viewer a sense that we can reach out and touch the baby. The contrast between him and his surroundings is just wonderful and it certainly lends to the mood of your finished composition, which, of course, was shot extremely well.

Thank you again for your wonderful review and virtual six stars! :)
I didn't actually crop the photo, but it was taken at 190mm, so pretty close though not close enough to touch - I'm not sure mum would have been happy if I'd tried!! Lol The long grass around him works well in this, but was pretty annoying when trying to shoot smaller animals as you can imagine!
