Nice work Nieves. This fellow looks like he is conducting an orchestra. "All together now" lol. The black and white works well and the angle of shot is perfect. Sharp focus and a good entry to the contest.

This capture alone is a "6" and it in perfect black and white makes is even moreso. It looks like a professional drawing in many ways. You did a great capture and composition my friend.

Very nice shot indeed Nieves, I love the simplicity of it. Did you white out the background or were you just lucky that there was nothing distracting behind?
Lovely detail in the feathers and a wonderful pose!

I think this is a good photo of a goose and although its a back view it does show of good detail in this and the white background[although not natural as such] does highlight the goose more...Brian

    Thanks, Brian.

Yes, this is converted to black and white so the white background is not natural. Black and white contest.

This post has a striking, dramatic beauty. There's a timeless elegance in this image that only black and white can capture. Well done! Good luck!

This is a very wonderful and unique visual presented here of the Canada goose drying its wings. The black and white really creates a wonderful visual. Interesting and wonderful to view. Thank you for sharing.

Nieves, this is a great entry into the contest. The wing spread captured beautifully, with excellent focus and clarity. I really like the white background also; the goose stands out so well. Good luck!

This is a spectacular shot of the bird. My only little criticism would be that the background seems a bit washed out. Other than that, you have really captured terrific detail of his feathers with those beautiful wings of his spread out like they are. The entire image is very sharply focused. It's framed perfectly, subject matter is interesting and the focal point is well placed. This is a great contender for the contest. Best of luck my friend.

Love those open wings and beautiful definition. The angle and lighting are pure perfection! I think it's an exceptional image for the BW contest! Very Nicely Done! Good luck in the contest!
