Informative artist's notes. This ruins really looks pretty solid and well-decorated. I like your angle showing its ancient architectural design and that wall can really stand the test of time. I only wish that you did not cut off the spire from the left hand side. The backdrop of the clouded blue sky is beautiful. Your exposure setting is also excellent showcasing the authentic colors of this scene. This is a great entry for this contest. Wish you the best!

Oh happy memories! I took my son to Carcassonne last November, we stayed for 5 days (all sunny!) in a tiny appartment inside the walls of the town. So lovely to see a photo of it on FAR!
Very good luck in the contest.

A beautiful picture of the Medieval fortress Cité de Carcassonne, with the blue sky in the background with a bust of a Queen in the foreground. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

This is a fine example of one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites preserved for future generations. A fortress of Gallo-Roman times this stands as a testimony of past generations, the place and their lives. Very nicely presented. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

You've captured a fine portion of the Fortified City of Carcassonne! The framing is well thought out, and the use of light and shadows adds both depth and character. The colours are vibrant, and the composition ties everything together seamlessly. A fine effort! Good luck!
