This post is an excellent example of fine floral photography Susan.

The White Balance is perfect for the blossoms, lots of crenulation seen in the petals, no blow outs. That's saying a lot because white is one of the most difficult colors to image digitally.

What catches the eye first is the black background. It gives the flower maximum contrast without looking metallic.
