Food for thought, I think, is a good title and you have worked well with it. Cabbage, after all is a source of food and placed over their heads is indicates their brains are absorbing the nutrients. That is my take on this picture,,, I may be totally off base but that is my take away.

Hi Brenda, I don 't understand what the exhibition is looking for either. I do like what you did however! The cabbage helmets remind me of something a gladiator would wear. These two don't look like gladiators though. Love the look of them and the detail in both the and cabbage helmet. I have no idea what these two represent but love the artistry of it. Very Nicely Done! :o) Nancy

Thsnkyou Nancy...yes I recognised the gladiator helmet when I finished. The food is the cabbages and they are where our thoughts are along with the channels
we all carry including plants that run through is from the veins in our bodies to the leaves of the cabbages ..may be I will dp a tree of life along with another cabbage 😀 for tjis echibition. I still find the criteria hard to understand. But thanks do much for your input and the 6.

This drew me right in , it's very clever, the cabbages are so well shown here with such nice detail. The man and woman are also well shown with accurate shape, structure and facial features,
I like the title a lot , I see such expressions on their faces that tell me they are thinking , they might be trying to solve a problem just by looking at them.
This is well arranged with wonderful choice and application of the colors and tones and a good show of the light and shadows,
I can imagine this hung in a gallery .
Very well presented!

Thank you fir your really interesting review. Yes they could be discussing "How did we get in this situation" cabbages are often thought of as a dull vegrtabke but the red cabbage has amazing abilities and medical properties. A bit like our brains...veins run throughout us so we are not unlike plamts weather leaves or roots. I am compiling everyone's comments what they see for a notelet in the exhibition.

A very strange looking image posted here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition makes me wonder if a strange psychological experiment is being carried out. Nicely created!

Quite an out-of-the-box thinking! Interesting! The mix of soft and sharp edges adds depth without needing realistic details. Unusual colour choices make the piece stand out. Well done! Thanks for sharing!

For one this is an amazing job with this drawing! Second, yes that are so many ways to interpret this. But I am going to go with two ways to interpret it: 1. Both of them are helping each grow and flourish. I think of them talking about life, bouncing ideas off each other, giving each other wisdom, to see each grow into the man and woman they are supposed to be. 2. Food for thought, which kind of goes back to idea number 1 with bouncing ideas off of each other to put different ideas, thoughts, and wisdom in their heads. Overall, beautiful picture with so much meaning behind it, beautifully done! Thank you for sharing!

this is a wonderful imaginative piece of work. It's very eye-catching and really draws the interest to both the hairpiece that you've selected and the facial expressions. It's definitely going to be a talk piece. Well done. Excellent thinking out of the box. Good luck with your exhibition.
