Beautiful painting of this antique rose with still very nice shape and solid texture.

This is a lovely piece of abstract art that cannot be mistaken for a rose, however it presents in its lifecycle. The colors and outlines cannot be mistaken. A nice presentation.

Hi Mark, wow!I am glad you enjoy this one, I would say the transparency does give it a ghostly effect. This Painting was done from a live rose so the long title is "A Rose That Once was is No More"... Thank you for your wonderful review, rating and thoughts. Ray

Elisabetta, thank you for your thoughtful review. When you paint a subject from life, the rose, you record its presence and then the rose shrivels up and dies and hence the title "A rose that once was but is not now". I am glad you enjoyed this. Ray

The artwork has an intentional complexity that feels both chaotic and harmonious. The colours create exciting worlds that let the viewer's mind wander freely. A fine artwork indeed!

I love this one. Perfect for them although the roads are looks like it's in pretty good shape. Like it's not quite dead yet. Does it represent a memory of someone who used to be a full Blossom in your eyes?
Great job.

Jewel Thank you for your fine review. The rose was painted from a live rose that no longer exists. Therefore the title and statement "A rose that once was, but is no more" :) I had the title wrong but it is corrected, it probably caused confusion, forgive me. Ray
