Hi LeeAnn, Love how you were able to capture this Catbird in song! The focus definitely show the open beak. Love how the catbird seems to have plumped its feathers up. You can definitely see the first signs of spring here. I think the framing is perfect! very enjoyable and a great entry for the Letter "C" contest! Good Luck! :o) Nancy

This catbird is a cute little guy, great capture of his beady eye and his fluffy feathered body. Great focus and clarity showing lovely detail of his colors and feather textures. The blurred yellow background enhances his grey features very well. Good luck in the contest.

Great shot of this Catbird. If everyone could hear its call, they would understand why it's called a Catbird; they are frequently in my yard. Beautiful portrait, with very sharp focus, stunning color and wonderful composition.

This is a very lovely visual presented here of this unusual bird. He looks so fluffy. I love the background, especially as it really highlights your subject. I could almost hear him ready to sing. Thank you for sharing.

males and females look alike, they are robin sized with gray plumage, black caps, and rusty vent (privates) feathers, there call sounds amazingly like a cat meowing, hence the name. Thanks so much for the review!

A very good looking, striking image posted here into the competition! Never seen or heard of such a bird before. Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of that beautiful bird and its location. Textures, tones and detail are fine. Great shot and good luck!

thanks for the great review and extra star; they are the size of an American robin (no doubt you have seen them in your travels here!), and their call sounds like a cat meowing1

This is such a lovely shot of the Catbird! You've done a great job with the framing, and the way the light, shadows, and colours interact is pleasing to the eye. Good luck!
