This is an impressive photograph of nature! The framing is thoughtfully executed, and the balanced use of light, shadows, and colours enhances the overall composition. Nice work. Can butterflies be called 'bugs'? They are classified as insects!

Thank you, Sesha. I have wondered that too. Technically butterflies are not bugs but neither are a lot of other insects, spiders, ants, grasshoppers etc. Actually, in the contest description it does say "bug or insect" so I guess I'm good. I would like to see that clarified more or better yet the contest name just changed to "insects" then problem solved :)

This is quite a sight of the swallow tails getting themselves a drink. I can honestly say I've never seen them do this. But I have seen them do some very strange things. So I guess I'm not surprised. But I'm very happy that you caught them when you did because what a spectacular shot you've taken. The lighting on them is just perfect, their colors almost glow from their wings. The imagery is captivating and it has great depth of field. Best of luck in the contest.
