This is a very nice action shot. You did a very nice job capturing the action with great focus and detail. Subject is well centered. I love the expression of determination and focus on both the rider and horse.

Hi Paul, You definitely caught al the action in this shot! From the feet of the horse, his tail and the swirling dust you captured it all! Lots of action going on here! Great focus and lighting too! Very Nicely Done! :o) Nancy

Very well executed Paul. I like the dust and the grit of a man and horse partnership under competition.
You might get some negative flak about the background. Not from me, I like it because it is an integral part of this action narrative.
The colors are real in tone hue and saturation.
The camera technique is spot on for clarity, detail and sharpness.
Cropping is well done - just enough surrounding the center to make the telling complete.

Technically/Artistically superb photography... Bob

This really captures the action at the time. Both the horse and rider are all in on this activity. The dust adds a touch of drama for sure.
I may have used a smaller f-stop to blur the background a bit.

A very good action shot. You got the movement and the dust storming around yet can see image through the mist it created. Good timing and excellent angke wjich gives the feeling of excitement and movement of this challenging sport. .

An excellent stop action photograph. The horse is in motion kicking up dust, that ads real atmosphere to the shot. I don't see a saddle, is this a bareback rider?

Very nice shot of what I would guess a barrel racing event. You got spot on focus, depth of field and all with perfect composition. Which isn't always easy with this fast of action. Interest level is super. I like the typical fling dust bath :) Good job, Paul hope you enjoyed the rodeo.

Paul this is an amazing shot of a barrel racing contestant. I always loved rodeos and a few years back, I attended a rodeo in Jackson Hole and had an amazing time an this brings it all back. Thank you for sharing. Ray

Thank you Ray. I do a lot of these types of events.
Being from Oklahoma I get lots of oppertunities!
Only thing is they wait to late to get started and all
the good light is gone! That does provide a little
chance to do more artistical type shots which I will share
    soon!
    Take care Ray!
