I dabbled in photography many years ago, too long to remember exactly when, whilst I was at school. They had a photography club and a proper dark room. So messing with chemicals was my first starting point. I didn't really take to this as I was a very impatient teenager.

I then owned various different point and clicks over the interim years. Including 110 cartridge, Kodak disc and other such cheap and cheerful products. Again my lack of patience and wanting instantaneous results didn't allow me to progress this any further.

Than along came the Digital age and the instant feedback from the camera and computer screen. To be able to develop properly in the comfort of your own home suddenly attracted me back.

I was given as a present a Sony Alpha A350 twin lens kit about 5 years ago. AND the rest is history as they say.

I now own a Sony Alpha A77 and a full range of lenses from 10mm through to 500mm. A lot of the various filters and accessories needed.

I don't really know as yet where my favourite subject matter lies. I just take shots of what I see as worthy but at some point I may decide to specialise.
