Joy Ni Dhomhnaill has been drawing and painting since she was a small child. Her mother was an Art teacher and encouraged her to paint from a young age.

Her first exhibition was part of a group exhibition in the Hugh Lane Gallery when she was 13 years old as part of a Community Art Competition.

She studied Animation in the Irish College of Animation and taught Junior Cert art in Ballyfermot for 4 years.

Joy had a solo exhibition in The Front Lounge in 2011 and continues to paint from her studio in her home.
