I joined FAR back in 2017, not that long ago I suppose. I joined because I felt I could learn more about photography and thereby make myself better.

My Father was a film shooter back in the day. He did his own processing and taught me. I shot film and hand processed until 2008 when I switched to digital. I am what you would call a traditional photographer.

The ability to hand process film came in handy when I became a Radiologic Technologist. When I started down that road 'hand dipping' was still fairly common. Automatic processors were just starting to come of age.

For me Radiology and Photography were one and the same just different equipment.

I use Canon camera bodies and Canon, Sigma and Tamron lens. I shoot in Raw then convert to TIF PS. I feel I can use the apps that are available in my cameras to get the desired color contrast and white balance without resorting to the PS sliders - sometimes not.
