Dreamer1965: I had been drawing with pencil and/or pen for as long as I can remember. I was real good at producing very accurate depictions of whatever I was looking at. When I got into my high school art class, I discovered I was a little better then the norm and started painting. We would do what we called "studies" and basically try to reprodue an exact copy of a painting by one of the historical greats. This came easy to me but we never really went into nature scenes or anything like that. After high school I just never really did a whole lot about my art. I would draw something once in a while, Usually with an ink pen and that would usually end up the trash can. Just within the month of December 2017, I began painting on canvas again .I've found new enjoyment in painting images that I pull out of my head. I think it's the whole creating something that is entirely new and you that sparks my creative juices. I wouldn't call my art style fine or abstract. It's somewhere in the middle and I'm cool with that.
Dick Lee Shia: Please paint one of my photos as reference, will you?

That would be a great honor & pleasure if ever...
    Thanks & welcome to the site...Enjoy! -
AHRowell: It is such joy to be free and paint what is on your heart! So glad you found that! Enjoy yourself! That is all that matters! -
