I am married to a very supportive husband, am the mother of 3 boys and I have one beautiful 6 year old granddaughter. I absolutely love spending time with her. She paints with me as well. I am a Pediatric Registered Nurse and love what I do. I grew up in a small farm town in Illinois.
I weave baskets, love to work in my flower gardens, propagate my own seeds in my very small greenhouse. My favorite is my new found hobby of painting.
I have taken photos for years just for fun but the world of painting is totally new to me. I have always wanted to do a "paint you pet" class at one of the local paint and sip classes. I was always skeptical because I did not want my painting to look like a cartoon. Well, I took my first class in July of 2022 and I am totally addicted. I absolutely love painting and I am finding out that all of my family and friends love my work. I cannot get caught up with the paintings of their pets that they want me to do. I find it so peaceful and relaxing. Hours seem like just a few minutes when I am in my painting world.
I found Fan Art by searching for painting information on the internet. I have to say that I am honored to be in this group with such talented people. This site has helped me so much. The reviews by people that do not even know me have been awesome and encouraging. Your family tells you nice things to be kind but to have the reviews by like minded people and with so much talent.....priceless!!!
