MichaelJH was born in Derbyshire, England in 1948. He has always had a flair for painting and is self taught, having studied many "How To" books and DVDs. He is now retired and he can give much more time to his hobby of painting. He does not paint with the intention of selling the pictures but many of them are snapped up when seen. He has also been commissioned on several occassions. He lives close to the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District National Park where much of his inspiration and subject matter is found. With regards to painting the most important thing to Michael is the joy that he has found.
