I painted a large series on women whilst at West Ham Art Group- I had a penfriend from Japan who was very disturbed because she thought, having become Christian,(new life not RC) God would damn her and punish her for having had an abortion in her past. I tried in my artist's way to show it is not so and we all have imperfect lives. I sent her a huge bundle of 'women in life' sketches (everything from sketches of the librarian at the college onwards) unfortunately they got lost, so I am showing some which are left from this period! Wish they weren't so strong with their messages! Anyway, what about the father of the child? Fathers are always exempt!
