This was the period of nightmares- but how odd, I dreamt that the Red Army was chasing us- a railway line, gates closed, the city ahead is burning, fire pouring from the windows, a fast train is coming on my right, I cannot run, I turn, the I see the red soldier, he has almond eyes, he is almost upon me. I dreams of crossing a war scarred Europe, to take my small sons back to safety to the children's home where I had been brought up. We get there, it is empty. I nestle him in the corner of the Santa Maria glass attachment, I sleep in the middle, a thousand green hands reach up from the dark below and pull me down, only my youngest son is safe... and many, many such dreams. Oh well, post war refugee- thrown out through all of this! Even later, I dream that one day there will be another Chrystal Nacht, one day in the future! I see it so clearly-
