I have huge numbers of black paper with oil sketches- if I am being badly battered and do not have the strength to keep my art work going -(as a small A4 can take 20+ hours of none stop work) I still keep up with these loose sketches to ensure so as not to lose touch with my artist side- which is easily done. I saw not one good artist from my group at Psalter Lane give up and go into a well paid office- sincerely telling me: it's the money, I just couldn't afford to go on!
