for refugees and d.ps.like us, probably more often than others, but for all there is that moment when we suddenly think-- I am still here...I tried to think how to portray that moment - which has come into my life so often..and when the "debasement" began, I wondered what give, but they had something similar under the worst Nazis and Communists, extremists too, so I was not impressed in the least.
