I stayed with fundi friends at Lahore whose sons I had taught here and had invited me, and I met all sorts of people, also was permitted to join Life Drawing at Punjab Uni, /thank you dear lecturers-most unusual/ and painted a few images whilst there, a couple of abstract ones too, and formed many impressions. I later sent children's books /hard to find/ every month, to the family in Mansoorah to thank them for their wonderful hospitality, which the lab staff stole from the post. To my mind Pakistan is male so the abstract images have double meanings-My mum wrote to say she was losing her eyesight, so I had to return. In our culture, we look after our old parents, or at least stay near them.
