Walkley Sheffield

Walkley Sheffield yet again!

when we came to Sheffield I thought it was a fantastic place. I lived in a place called Walkley and having come from Lincolnshire flat lands, Scunthorpe, a small steel town I grew up in, I found the seven hills of Sheffield and its '' we have as many trees as we have population''claim quite wonderful, once I got something fixed up for our daily bread- so for some years, all my art centred round my growing boys and the environment around me.Sharp hills and curved dips..In actual fact I found later, 1991 when I moved to East End London, life itself was much more interesting there, but not the environment. Unfortunately Sheffield always was and still is a very criminal place, oddly more so than London, where people talk to each other and help one another.
