This is a view of Eureka in September, the Fireweed which is a tall green leafed plant with pink flowers has now lost its blooms and the leaves have turned red. Eureka is a popular recreational area for four wheelers, snowmobiles and even dog sledding in winter. There are a few people who live here and just a little hotel and restaurant. This is North about 120 miles from Anchorage.
