During the summer months, we always have to beware of the bears, the blacks will usually retreat if we come upon them but the browns can be very dangerous , when walking through the woods we have to make noise so we don?t come up and surprise one of these big guys, this was on the Russian River where the brown bears come to fish, they pretty much mind their business when they are catching and eating fish. If you ever meet up with a Brown Bear, do not try to run away, they can run 50 yards in 3 seconds or 45 MPH.
