I was very foolish and loved my ex dearly, and would do silly things like take a picture as he was shaving, especially when he came back home from working on contracts all over the world. When he went awol after 25 yrs marriage, my sister in law, his sister, told me: never put anyone on a pedestal. He and his sisters were all of a butterfly nature and had two or three partners. For myself, I belong to a family which marries for life, for poorer or richer, in health and in sickness. Happily, my children also /so far/. So from then on I haven't.
