I was delighted to see this beautiful Barrows Goldeneye on the mostly thawed pond in my neighborhood yesterday, two weeks ago we had unseasonably cold temperatures and snow, last week, it warmed up and we have had several days with temperatures in the 60?s , the snow is rapidly melting. We are also in the time where our sky won?t get totally dark from now until August 25 th. This migratory bird and her mate apparently did a stop over at the pond in my neighborhood, this was yesterday afternoon.
