Frozen Tears

As weary eyelids fall at night,
The angels rise and take up flight.
They work behind the darkest scenes
to bring us light when morning gleams.
Each teardrop fallen in duress
is gently captured with finesse
and held beneath an angel's wings
where hope is formed and heaven sings!
The dampness of an evening chill
is captured gently in each quill,
while lonely tears in puddles freeze,
angelic movements bring cool breeze.
When all our cries to heaven sound,
Prayers are held where love abounds,
then casts back down to earth anew
as promise glistens in the dew.
While one by one our frozen tears
are dropped to earth removing fears,
they cover every land and sea
reminding us we've set them free.
The fields rejoice beneath the sky
where dawn bursts forth and demons cry.
For faith stood strong defeating fear,
as God himself stood proudly near.
He orchestrates the day ahead.
Humankind lifts up their heads.
A church bell chimes in distant air,
beseeching us to rise with flair.

Go forth in love throughout your day.
Set free your inner child to play.
Create an angel in the snow.
Rejoice in what you've come to know.
