This is a female of the White Admiral family. Female because she is noticeably larger than the male and the curve of the front wings is much broader. I have a few shots of her and her mate. Found her and several others all stopping for a little socialising and drink from this stream. The glistening glare is water. Rather than racking in to show more of the current I felt that racking out the lens and getting in close from this angle might be more telling. I also liked the diagonal placement. This encounter turned out to be the highlight of this day. My companions and I were following this stream in the hope of finding some rapids or maybe a respectful water fall. Neither were found. But we did enjoy lunch with the admirals ... Bob
